Dairyman,
Sadly, I was as fortunate using the 7-20 build. I ended up losing AC WiFi. It became not associated.
I ended up doing the recovery flash method to get back to the 7-15 build where both N and AC are running fine.

Re: No WiFi on WE1326 running GoldenOrb for WG3526
Dairyman,
Thanks for the build. I just upgraded to it directly from my the April version of GO that I was using. Happily my WiFi is running and that is on both the N and the AC bands.

Re: No WiFi on WE1326 running GoldenOrb for WG3526
RockinBandit,
Maybe there is two different variations of the WE1326. Mine, bought from thewirelesshaven.com, came without a modem so I bought with it the Sierra Wireless MC7455. I just opened up the base of the unit by removing 4 screw and carefully removing the main board. You have to be careful ...

Re: No WiFi on WE1326 running GoldenOrb for WG3526
RockinBandit,
My process was to use the recovery flash process to get back to the OEM code that Jim also provided in this thread. The WiFi worked fine so I used the OEM's standard flash process to flash to the GoldenOrb 4-15 version. Came up with WiFi and so I put back in the MC7455 and I have been ...

Re: No WiFi on WE1326 running GoldenOrb for WG3526
The code from April did the trick. The WE1326 is running like a champ with the MC7455 and allowing the gigabit hardline connection as well as the AC level WiFi.
I am surprised that we had to go through all this to get the WE1326 running. I guess not many people buy this unit. The internal 4G ...

Re: No WiFi on WE1326 running GoldenOrb for WG3526
Jim,
I did change settings to try and see if I could trigger an attach sequence. New name instead of ROOter, new channel, but nothing I tried worked.

Re: No WiFi on WE1326 running GoldenOrb for WG3526
Jim,
Looks like you cannot use the built in firmware flash routine to flash from one modem type to the next. Good safety precaution, but ended up not allowing me to get the WE1326 firmware on. So shifted to the recovery method.

Re: Changing carriers on MC7455
Of course, senior moment on my part. Once the MC7455 is setup with IPv6, etc. it makes sense that all you need to make the carrier change is the APN field with GoldenOrb without any additional AT commands.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Changing carriers on MC7455
Since our internal wireless provider is T-Mobile, I have configured the MC7455 to fast.t-mobile.com.
If, however, I wanted to change the MC7455 for Verizon Wireless (as an example) do I simply do the following?
at!entercnd="A710"
at+cgdcont=1,"ipv4v6","vzwinternet"
at!reset
Or is there a more ...

No WiFi on WE1326 running GoldenOrb for WG3526
I picked up a WE1326 router because of its size and that it had gigabit ports and AC level WiFi. I did not mind the internal 4G antennas.
Per guidance, I flashed the unit with GoldenOrb WG3526 lableled firmware (2017-12-15). Unfortunately, even though the WG3526 and WE1326 is identical in spec ...

Re: Are usb to mini pci adaptors still needed?
I also think that it depends on your use case and the equipment you may require.
I now gotten a chance to spend quite a lot of time working with the WE826 and GoldenOrb (probably more time than I had really wanted as Jim would agree :-)) and like the combo, but maybe the needs require a gigabit LAN ...

FirstNet Band 14 coverage
We get a chance on occasion to work with first responder groups and the current topic appears to be a governmental effort to dedicate a cellular band for these individuals to use in emergency situations. The band is 14, but through my research it appears that there is only 1 card announce, not sure ...

Just wanted to close on this.

Re: WE826 no WiFi broadcast
The new interface colors and shadowing are a big thumbs up. Please pass my compliments on to the author.

Re: WE826 no WiFi broadcast
Thanks for the guidance on the config backup. Since this is really a test unit, I didn't really care about saving anything.
1. Re-downloaded the GoldenOrb code from the author's website. Made sure it was file named we826-GO2017-12-15.zip
2. Unzipped the file with no errors to a .bin file

WE826 no WiFi broadcast
This router does not appear to like me.
Issue:
Not seeing the WiFi SSID on any of my devices.
Steps:
- Enabled the default WiFi setup without any setting changes (Should see Rooter, but don't)
- Set my own name and WPA2 password and made sure to hit save and apply (don't see the new name)

@JimHelms
Thanks for all your input/guidance.

Re: Sierra Wireless MC7354 power cycles in WE826
The good news is that the power cycling stopped on the MC7354, but I am not sure exactly why.
Because of the potential confusion on the APN entry I decided to delete the entry, save the blank entry and reboot the router. That was last night. Tonight when I was able to focus back on this issue, I ...

I pulled that from info on the official T-Mobile website.

Is there a different one that I should try?
