Re: It's been a year...what needs changed in my plan?
In that thread you mention you get -93 on an AT&T iPhone... That's almost as good as the signal I get with a parabolic grid. You may be better off with just a Nighthawk hotspot and no antennas... Depending on the bands you receive and congestion, you could hit over 100mbps with the internal 4x4 ...

It's been a year...what needs changed in my plan?
It's been about a year since I researched LTE options. Our internet was workable in that time frame, but it's since went to total crap. We barely have connectivity so it's time to implement the LTE option.
I know some things have changed...the biggest thing seems to be the availability of the ATT ...

Re: Is this a complete parts list for a Raspberry Pi 3b+ router build?
I'm in Central MO, so we definitely have snow, sleet, and ice in the winter. I was concerned about weight/wind loading of the parabolics, particularly if I use a tallish mast. When I first started this project, I was under the impression that I'd need all the help I could get. We left ATT service ...

That's a good start. I don't see anything obviously wrong or missed.
The nema enclosure I got from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0791KB3TK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Hi motoguy, not sure what you meant by flipping to the next screen on the airLink site but I'll see if I can figure it out. Thanks for the reply.

Re: Tower to Router Azimuth and Elevation
If you flip to the next screen on the airLink site, it'll give you azimuth and elevation as well (IIRC). I remember using https://www.acscdg.com/ to plug it in, until I found the same info on the airLink site. FWIW.

Re: Yagi or parabolic grid in my situation?
A big part of my issue with putting antennas on the existing mount is running wiring into the house. The current wires off those antenna just run through the shingles on top of the house...they kind of lifted a shingle up, and "tucked" the wires under there. I'm not a fan of that...at all. As a ...

Re: Is this a complete parts list for a Raspberry Pi 3b+ router build?
The POE hat is notorious for having all kinds of issues. I'd really recommend just using the splitter. It's much cheaper.
Be sure to get a 1GB version of it too, they make a 100mb version and you'll be limiting yourself to about 90mbps download if you chose that one.
Fair enough, then. I'd ...

Re: Is this a complete parts list for a Raspberry Pi 3b+ router build?
Thanks for catching that. Looks like I need a Poe Hat for splitter-less POE. I think I'd rather do that, vs the splitter. Smaller footprint, less wiring, etc.

Is this a complete parts list for a Raspberry Pi 3b+ router build?
I've decided to build a Raspberry Pi setup, vs putting a modem in a wifi router body. I'll use my existing Wifi router for now (wired downstream of the Pi), and just use the Pi as a modem. I'll be using POE to power the setup, so no power bricks (or even nearby outlets) will be necessary. That's a ...

Re: Yagi or parabolic grid in my situation?
My plan is to place antennas in the attic of the house, up near the peak of the roof, shooting through the gabled side of the house to the towers. The antennas could be placed right next to the insulation, making insulation, sheathing, house wrap, and vinyl siding all that stands between them and ...

Re: Yagi or parabolic grid in my situation?
Later, having learned a bit more, I went out into the yard, and did some testing there. The dark screenshots below are from night time testing. I learned that I was seeing several bands (multiples on 2 and 5), and band 66 showed up at 1:30am. I also found my d/l speed tests at this time ranged from ...

Yagi or parabolic grid in my situation?
As mentioned in another thread, I'm in the process of putting together an LTE modem in hopes of replacing my crappy WISP service. I'm currently paying $100/mo for a 10mbps connection. I'm currently showing 4.8, and that's the best we've had this summer. It's likely to improve shortly, as the leaves ...

Re: Q building a WE1326 w/ EM7565 vs Mofi4500
With the WE1326 being indefinitely out of stock, I'm thinking of just going the Raspberry Pi route w/ separate wifi routers (well, router and an ap/booster on the other side of the house). I'm interested in the 7565 vs the 7455 for the 3CA capabilities, vs the 2CA of the 7455. Possibly unneeded, but ...

Re: Raspberry PI setup
What would be some of the pros and cons over going with Raspberry Pi set up, instead of something like a WE1326?
I would likely use the Wi-Fi aspect of the we1326, but I'm not opposed to having a standalone Wi-Fi router.

Q building a WE1326 w/ EM7565 vs Mofi4500
I'm looking to move from our WISP to LTE based internet at our home. The rabbit hole of internet searches led me to the combo of OTRmobile service, Mofi4500 modem/router, connected by LMR400 to a couple of antennas in the attic. Further rabbit hole exploration led me to this comment on Reddit ...
