Re: MBR1400 Wireless Signal Detected By iPads, But Not Laptops
I went to the Facebook Wireless Joint page and was asked if the wifi LED light was blue or green. It was blue and broadcasting on the 5.0 Ghz frequency. I logged in to the router and changed the wifi broadcast frequency to 2.4 Ghz. Everything works now.

Re: MBR1400 Wireless Signal Detected By iPads, But Not Laptops
I was running PCLinuxOS but just installed Ubuntu on my laptop. Installing Ubuntu made no difference, my laptop isn't detecting the MBR1400 even though it detects other wifi networks in my surrounding area so it's not the fault of my laptop. I could try to connect to it as a hidden network but I don ...

MBR1400 Wireless Signal Detected By iPads, But Not Laptops (SOLVED)
I recently purchased a Cradlepoint MBR1400 router. It establishes a connection reliably and it's fast. Our iPads connect to it with no problem. None of our laptops detect it as an available wireless network. Fortunately our desktop PC is connected by an ethernet cable and it works fine. Another ...

Re: WE826T Won't Connect
I discovered the wind storm had nothing to do with me losing my connectivity. My wife's excessive data usage due to streaming videos all day got our unlimited tablet plan flagged by AT&T.

Re: AT&T Post Pay Tablet plan Good Tablets to get LTE Service
I'm back with AT&T again for now. The wife's not happy about having to deal with her blog addiciton but that's life. If she gets us canned again I may try Visible. Thanks for the tip!

Re: AT&T Post Pay Tablet plan Good Tablets to get LTE Service
Thanks for explaining the logic. I never thought of buying a junk tablet for the IMEI number but that's a clever option. My main objective when purchasing my LTE router was to dump my local cable company who kept raising the cost of their data only plan and provided lousy service. I was also ...

Re: AT&T Post Pay Tablet plan Good Tablets to get LTE Service
Having to buy a tablet nullifies one of the main purposes of buying an LTE router, to save money. I can type on a laptop keyboard much faster than on a touch screen so I have no reason to buy a tablet.

Re: AT&T Unlimited for Tablet Plan Question
I can confirm that the AT&T stand alone tablet plans can be not only be throttled but cancelled. Back in mid March after a high wind storm I lost all connectivity with our WE826T router. After numerous attempts to reconnect and a couple of weeks went by I received this message from AT&T:

Re: WE826T Won't Connect
A friend of mine purchased a WE826T at the same time I did. We both had connection problems from the beginning. I upgraded my modem from a Sierra to a Quectel and it allowed me to stay connected for several months. He upgraded his modem and increased his power supply from the original 12v 2a to a ...

WE826T Won't Connect
We experienced a high wind storm on 3/26 and lost our connection with AT&T. I've tried restarting the router numerous times since then without success. I turned off WiFi in the router using an Ethernet connection to my PC. Then I entered the system log and it looks like the system settings may have ...

Shut Off WiFi & Use Ethernet instead
Hi-
I've been using my WE826T for a couple of years and want to shut off the WiFi so I can connect only with an ethernet cable. Where do I find the switch to turn off the WiFi in Rooter?

Re: WE826-T2 Serial Connection Issue/Question
I have the same unit & have had connection problems with it since new using the Sierra modem. You might be better off taking the unit to a place that repairs Mofi units & pay them to fix it or just buy a unit that's guaranteed to work.

Re: WE826-T2 With MC7700 Not Broadcasting WiFi
A friend who studied networking in college walked me through the settings and we discovered the LAN ports are labeled or wired backwards. We figured out the ethernet cable needs to be plugged into number 2 or 3 for the WiFi to work and there were some other settings in the Network section of ROOter ...

Re: WE826-T2 With MC7700 Not Broadcasting WiFi
Now that I have a consistent ethernet connection with the WE826, I shut off my cable modem and WiFi router then checked for a signal. It's not showing up on my other laptop in the list of available networks. Incidentally, the LED WiFi indicator on the WE826 isn't on.

Thank you for the ROOTer links. I do appreciate the help this forum provides and I know you're doing your best to get people connected. I was born way before PCs were in existence. Re: Change wifi password on WE826
Should I refresh my WE826T-2 router? I tried changing wifi passwords but since there was no 'edit' button to select next to radio, I couldn't go any further. It appeared that 'radio' had not been enabled and there was no option to enable it so I assumed the wifi wasn't working. Later, when trying to ...

Re: WE826-T2 not staying connected
Yes, I read about the bug in the newer version also, that's why I used the GoldenOrb_2018-11-03 but ended up with the ROOter version which has caused nothing but headaches for me. I'm going to attempt to re-flash the modem with the OpenWRT version.

Re: Change wifi password on WE826
I also have GoldenOrb firmware, the 11/18 version and I'm trying to find or change the password of the wifi so my wife can login with her Ipad. She tried the password rooter 2017 and it didn't work. I went to NETWORK > WIRELESS, but the wifi radio only gave the options RESTART, SCAN and ADD. I don't ...

Fortunately I was able to use the reset button following the instructions to hold the button in for over 8 seconds and whatever password was on the router was erased. ROOter Rejects Passwords (SOLVED)
This is my 2nd day trying to get my WE826-T2 router working. After many frustrating hours being walked through the flashing process by my tech saavy friend, I was able to get that accomplished. None of the web page images during the flashing process looked anything like those shown in the build ...
