Re: Starlink now available to order
Would you give a review on your Starlink Gateway for what it offers?
Things I've seen so far is the GUI seems to made for troubleshooting by tech support it's filled with stats and such, but nothing you can fiddle with.
The supplied router has a very good Wifi signal, but I ditched it because ...

I've only had it for literally an hour but I've never had a test like this on LTE at 5PM. So far testing the worst test was 68mbps down.

Re: T-Mobile unlimited home internet.
In my area I was getting 50mbps down most of the day the 1st month with this service and we used around 800GB.
The second month I was only getting 50mbps down in the graveyard hours and then it almost seemed like we were being throttled at times down to 0.2mbps, lots of buffering only able to use ...

Re: Starlink now available to order
With Tmobile/SimpleMobile I'm consistently getting 100Mbps in the daytime and over 200Mbps at night (from 9pm till 9am) using a Quectel EM16 CAT-16 modem. On my second router with a 5G Simcom SIM8200EA-M2 modem it's close to 1,000Mbps (https://wirelessjoint.com/viewtopic.php?p=15158#p15158). Best ...

Re: Starlink now available to order
Yep, ours is on the way a few weeks out. Our last Ipad plan just got axed on Monday right after AT$T renewed it.
All we have left now is our Tmo home internet. Which is great at 3am but usually not so great at 7pm(only 10Mhz Bandwidth in my area). So I have a sim coming for the AT$T $20 tablet plan ...

Re: TTL and more settings, what else?
Using OpenWRT firmware like GoldenOrb or WiFix.
You should be setting the TTL under Network > Firewall > Custom Rules
See this post on tethering: https://wirelessjoint.com/viewtopic.php?p=10303#p10303

Re: Att postpaid ipad plan question
It needs to be Linux 65? I think have it on 64
I've never had to change this setting on my Mofi because this is for a $35 Ipad prepaid account and there is not a limit on the hotspot data.
I think the most common TTL for AT$T is 65.
older post that may be worth looking at for different ...

Re: PSA: AT&T Doing away with $35 iPad Unlimited.
I was in one of my prepaid ipad accounts and noticed under the plans that the $34.99 unlimited option is back.
Not sure if this is available for existing customers or everyone. Haven't seen it mentioned anywhere so I thought I'd share.

Re: PSA: AT&T Doing away with $35 iPad Unlimited.
Just another update -- Mine has renewed twice. Still working fine. I believe this is more geared/targeted against high volume users. Haven't heard of anyone using less than 400GB getting canned yet. Guess we'll see. I try to keep mine below 300. Usually doable.
Both of my prepaid ipad accounts ...

Re: PSA: AT&T Doing away with $35 iPad Unlimited.
So how do I get a refund since they shut the data off several days before the renewal? I'm not worried about the previous month but there's no reason to spend $35 for a full month of non service.
If they are unwilling to refund you , why couldn't you dispute the charge with your credit card ...

@ gscheb found this about PagePlus, https://wirelessjoint.com/viewtopic.php?p=6785#p6785. Doesn't sound promising with a Sierra modem.
I just received my Quectel EM12 modem. Hopefully I'll have some time to try it out on PagePlus this weekend and see if I can get better results.

Re: PSA: AT&T Doing away with $35 iPad Unlimited.
My guess is they have a threshold for data usage and if you pass that it's game over.
A reseller told me if you exceed 700GB in a 30 day cycle they'll terminate the service. Take that for what it's worth.
One of my accounts is up for renewal and it will be around 400GB so we shall see if it's ...

Hello to all,
Short back story first to get everyone up to speed.
We built a new house(5miles out of a bigger town) and came to find out, in order to get internet it would cost us $14,100 to build the cable company's network for them, so we told them to go pound sand.
