Are antennas useful if I've already got a strong signal?
I've been using the WE826 with stock antennas for about a year and can reach 10-30Mb download speeds. The router reports 96% signal strength but I was wondering if directional antennas would provide a better signal and faster network speeds? I've got multiple towers within a 5 mile radius, though I ...

Trying to locate my tower
Hello and Happy Easter.. I am preparing to purchase and install some directional antennas and trying to determine which direction my serving cell is in. Below is the info from the router - but when I look up the 96353 eNB on CellMapper, it centers me at a random location a bit south of me, but there ...

Re: EM7565 Verizon support
Interested to hear about your experience with the antennas once you get things set up.. I get great decent signal according to my phone's signal indicator, but on average seeing 20-30Mb downloads, I feel like I could get that higher with a better setup. Band 13 here, and no CA from what I can tell.

Re: EM7565 Verizon support
Not OP, but going through the same thing right now. Just activated my PagePlus SIM, and the results are not good. I activated the SIM using my iPhone's IMEI and immediately noticed the download speeds are significantly slower. Seems like a straight up throttle to me. Upload is actually fairly decent ...

Also looking for T-Mobile B71 support. Looks like the EM9190 will support it, but I don't think it's available yet.

Re: EM7565 Verizon support
Also interested to know this. I've been using a Verizon "Unlimited" SIM purchased on eBay for about a year with great speeds and a soft 750GB/month data cap. Was paying $65/month. Just got notice last month this plan was being discontinued, so in search of a replacement.. I just activated a new eBay ...

Re: WE826-T2 router
Finally got around to trying the modem firmware update this morning, but I keep getting error 0x0, and it doesn't appear the modem is even being detected by Windows 10 - I don't even see it listed anywhere in device manager.. I've tried with the USB adapter, and also using the laptop's mini PCI-e ...

Re: EM7565 Verizon support
How are your speeds with that SIM and plan? I've currently got a supposed "grandfathered unlimited" SIM that I picked up on eBay. I haven't noticed any throttling or deprioritization in the several months I've had it. I'm paying $65 a month which is not bad, but $20 would be even better!

Re: WE826-T2 router
WOW, I didn't realize you authorized that guide when I posted the link. Thank you so much for your contributions and advice here. I'll post an update in a few days after I get a M.2/USB adapter and have a better idea how things are with the modem firmware update. Any thoughts/suggestions on possibly ...

Re: WE826-T2 router
Ok, I'll have to order a USB to M.2 adapter but will give it a try. Is this a good guide to follow? http://wirelessjoint.com/viewtopic.php?t=78 Also, just curious - when you said I'm only receiving band 13 at 10mHz, what should I expect to see? A 20mHz band, multiple 10mHz bands with CA ...

Re: WE826-T2 router
Thank you all for your input.. Below are the results of the AT commands. While I logged in to and navigating the router's Web UI, it happened to disconnect on me, and it seemed like the entire router froze up. After attempting to refresh the page a few times, everything came back to life, and the ...

Re: WE826-T2 router
I'm using an EM7565 modem, and still getting disconnected with a 5A power supply. It seems my signal strength is good, though I am using the included stock antennas. Do we still think this is a power issue or perhaps something with the firmware or configuration? Network : LTE CSQ : 28 Signal ...

Re: WE826-T2 router
Just had another thought after reading the other thread about power consumption - are you using the included 1.5A power adapter? I've heard others say that may not provide sufficient power, maybe that is causing our issues. I have a 5A supply lying around that I'm going to try and see if that fixes ...

Re: WE826-T2 router
Experiencing the same but with a Verizon SIM. I work all day from home and have dropped several VoIP calls per day. After 30 seconds or so, it will reconnect. I checked the modem logs in the Rooter web interface but there is no mention of a disconnect. It seems to have just started a week or 2 ago ...
