Re: How do I find the signal?
Once you get a general idea what direction it is in use Google maps in satellite view to pinpoint exactly where it is. It takes a bit of panning and zooming but I've always found them. You get a knack of finding them after a while. They are usually clearings in the woods right off major roads.

Re: WE826 No Modem Present
It turned out to be the router. I put the modem in a new WE826 and am back up. Weird how everything else the router does was working except the port.

Re: WE826 No Modem Present
I have this one on my other setup.
I did the same before replacing the modem. Cleaned the contacts and made sure it was seated. I tried the WiFix and the stock GoldenOrb firmware. Ended up ordering a new router.
@xdavidx I'd be willing to send you my spare MC7455 to test with.

WE826 No Modem Present
It was working fine then all of a sudden stopped working without changing anything. I just replaced the MC7455 modem and get the same message. I've factory reset and re-flashed the router and still get the same message. Figure I'd check here before offering the modem in the marketplace. Any ideas?

Re: Local Tower Upgrades (Verizon)
I've been watching eBay for another amp. They pop up from time to time. I just missed a new in box one for $179. Made a low ball offer and it sold the next day at listing price. I was thinking it was someone from here

Re: 26 dBi ultra wide-band parabolic grid antenna
Yeah. The tilt is enough to level it from the roof pitch. The bracket is to wide for the fascia to mount it level. So I mounted it parallel then rotated it.
I should have looked earlier. See what you were looking for in the instructions? It's a pro tip.

Re: 26 dBi ultra wide-band parabolic grid antenna
I have the antenna mounted on a Channel Master CM-3090. It allows adjustment on 2 axes. The antenna itself has the standard U-bolt that clamps around a pole. There is no way to rotate it 45 degrees.

Re: WG3526-P \ EM7565 slow speeds
I'm curious on the AT&T plan you got. I'm on the Verizon train. Started with a prepaid SIM and got terrible speeds. Moved to a paid unlimited plan and it got better but still slow. Finally got a leased grandfathered unlimited plan off eBay and am getting decent speeds. With help here it seems as ...

Re: 26 dBi ultra wide-band parabolic grid antenna
This is turning into a little hobby. It sucked me in and I want to suck down bits as fast as possible. I'll pick up another antenna to travel around with and visit all the towers again. Now that I know a little more about what I'm looking at.
Thanks again for all the help/feedback. Hopefully I was ...

Re: 26 dBi ultra wide-band parabolic grid antenna
The antenna does a decent job. I'm wondering if adding another or switching to a pair of the 15dB panels would perform better.
I picked Verizon because they have the best coverage for phones out here. I haven't a clue what AT&T would be like with an antenna. There are 3 towers that are in the same ...

Re: 26 dBi ultra wide-band parabolic grid antenna
Before I get to the results I'll answer the questions first.
The grid antenna is on the roof while the omni is inside. I have 20' of LMA400 between the antenna and amp. I did connect to each tower and ran speed tests to find the one that worked the best. I would use the compass on the iPhone to ...

Re: 26 dBi ultra wide-band parabolic grid antenna
xdavidx that is exactly what I was looking for! This should be a sticky somewhere here. Thanks so much for taking to time to spell it out for me.

Re: 26 dBi ultra wide-band parabolic grid antenna
I'm just getting into LTE and purchased that antenna before I found this site. I'm not sure what all the numbers mean yet but this is what I get with a WE826-T and MC7455.
