Hoping to find out what this is.

I found the following items in /etc/crontab/root :

0 3 * * * sleep 70 && touch /etc/banner && reboot -f
0,10,20,30,40,50 * * * * /usr/lib/custom/johns_ping.sh

Yes; but with no action.

I thought that was necessary for failover to work.

Also, I don't quite understand what the "internal ping script" you mentioned in another thread does, how it works, or how to manage or disable it.

I am also having this problem. Actually...I have had a lot of problems with this router, but this one (I hope) is the only one left.
