Re: Copy of MR5100 downloadable firmwares
You will have to unlock the bootloader, (it is secure boot enabled device) and need an exploit to get passed the efuze, the firmware is crypted, if you can manage to do all that this is what you will get.
Also those updates are not firmware, they are basically just small config files and such that ...

Re: please help with my internet m1100 nighthawk signal
You can also put your M1 in an outdoor enclosure, with the battery removed and full time power, and put it way up high on a pole.

Orbi LBR20 How-To / Megathread
October 2022 Update
I loathe boilerplate legalese but it was brought to my attention that someone had copied this tutorial wholesale on another site with only a passing reference to a pseudonym of mine at the very end and no link to this page as the source. Thus, I feel I have to give notice at ...

Re: Orbi LBR20 How-To / Megathread
Several important updates have been made to the OP. Most notable: further simplification of the 'ttl_mod' script, a thorough fleshing-out of the 'bootstrap' method/script for clarity, and a change in execution method which now uses crontab for calling 'ttl_mod' (and any other scripts) at precise ...

Re: Orbi LBR20 How-To / Megathread
Just as a heads up to anyone contacting me for LBR20 help: life is pretty busy at the moment so it may be awhile before I see and/or respond to your messages. Not trying to ignore anyone but have to keep my priorities in order. Thanks for understanding!

Re: Orbi LBR20 How-To / Megathread
This comparison was to compare which carrier’s plan is more suited to my needs, that’s why I merely wanted to test them side by side on the same (newest) firmware v2.6.5.2 vs the older v2.5.20. I’ve seen improved speeds on both carriers when running the newest firmware vs the older builds. Here’s ...

Re: Orbi LBR20 How-To / Megathread
Updated my Dev LBR20 unit today with v2.6.3.50 and A06 LTE firmware.
Did the manual circle_jerk install and all is working as expected. Visible sim and TTL of 64. Compared speeds on this Dev unit with my other Main unit running v2.5.3.4 and A06 (with old armor scripts, no cronjobs), and the speeds ...

Re: Orbi LBR20 How-To / Megathread
Thought I would share something useful/fun that I thought I shared before but don't see it posted here so guess it slipped my mind. Netgear has a ~1400 line shell script which the LBR20 uses as a wrapper for some of the raw AT commands it issues to the modem. The script is 'mbctrl.sh' and can be ...

Re: Orbi LBR20 How-To / Megathread
I just installed Voxel and it is working great except for dnscrypt, which only works over wifi after the LBR is fully booted and I restart the dnscrypt service. It seems dnscrypt may be starting too early in the boot process (before all of the interfaces are up).

Updated OP with link to latest Voxel firmware.
This may be the last update for awhile due to the current geopolitical events going on in Voxel's region of the world: https://www.snbforums.com/threads/voxel ... tus.77704/

Re: Orbi LBR20 How-To / Megathread
Thanks. I think the only thing I really need is to lock out sprint bands as once in awhile it seems to REALLY want to do sprint only, even resetting, turning antennas etc. I get 7/.5 if I'm lucky on sprint.
Otherwise I'm getting 80/10, which is perfect for me, a big upgrade from the M1. B71 has ...

Re: Orbi LBR20 How-To / Megathread
Have you bricked your device? Did a firmware fail to upload and you had no choice to yank the plug? Is the light just sitting there blinking mocking you, EFF YOU, EFF YOU.
I did.
This saved my bacon.

Added a gross copyright disclaimer as a preface to the OP.
Apologies for cluttering the tutorial with such legalese but it could not be helped in light of recent events. I know that most if not all WJ members show mutual respect for the tutorials authored here but there are those outside our ranks ...
