Hey Tuna8er, I would refrain from using configuration backups. I always recommend using fresh flashed firmware and resetting the details by hand. Even though the config was from a working problem free setup, it can still cause issues. Yay openWRT.
I would do the firmware recovery and flash the ...

Re: I have 2 Mofi 4500 SIM 7?
Hello, Had a issue in the past that Mofi firmware wouldn't work since was using the wrong protocol. Allot of time when you flash firmware will change your protocol.

These commands won't work with a SIM 7 set up.

Re: Mofi 4500 Module in MBIM Wrong Mode
The easiest method (without having to remove the modem and installing in a USB to Mini PCI-E adapter and reprogramming the modem) would be to reinstall GoldenOrb.
Then, use the AT-Terminal to place the modem in QMI using the following commands:
at!entercnd="A710"
at!usbcomp=1,1,10d
at!reset ...

Mofi 4500 Module in MBIM Wrong Mode
Hello,
Would appreciate any possible help on this.
Running a Mofi 4500 on T-mobile. Was having an issue with carrier aggregation on the mofi so wanted to try the gorlden orb and openwrt systems I read on here. So I flashed this unit to run on Golden orb with a file I found on this site. And had it ...

Thank you so much for the quick reply. Will try that after the work day.

Just want to make sure you are putting in the right ip address after doing openwrt flash. It would change to be different than what Mofi is. Probably 192.168.1.1

OpenWrt did not work either. Anyone have suggestions?
Don't know why but in the past when had issues loading firmware onto a WE826-T2 this firmware would work. Once had it on there could load what ever firmware I wanted. Always loaded it with the bootloader method that talked about earlier ...

Does it allow to do the bootloader method? Are you ever choosing the firmware to be added or do you not get that far?

Can you follow the boot loader method exactly? And use the ip address it says and forget about modi ip address.

Did you try not starting with this above? Start out with what the boot loader says to do.Tuna8er wrote: Wed Sep 01, 2021 11:00 pm I tried it again with that file, same thing. Re: I just received a MTK7621...
What does the router/routers board look like? MTK7621 is a processor chip that these routers use, not really the brand/make/model of router.

Re: I just received a MTK7621...
If using dual modems, make sure you have them both in MBIM or QMI. (I prefer MBIM)
for MBIM
AT+QCFG="usbnet",2
for QMI
AT+QCFG="usbnet",0
Reset the modem after settings: AT+CFUN=1,1
for MBIM
AT+QCFG="usbnet",2
for QMI
AT+QCFG="usbnet",0
Reset the modem after settings: AT+CFUN=1,1

You're getting there!
Google drive links: You can right click on the folder in side drive (if you have any created) and select 'get link'. Gotta make sure its set to sharing the way you want too.

Re: I just received a MTK7621...
I don't think you will have much luck with typical "IT" PC store. They may know of the networking side of things but i'm sure at this point you would know more about the "LTE" side of it unless they have experience already. At this point it could be several things such as comms (mbim vs. qmi, etc ...

If you run AT+QPRTPARA=3, always follow it with AT+QPRTPARA=1

Below is an edit to the original instructions per some changes from Didneywhorl's post
This should work for Quectel Modems EC25-AF, EP06 and EM12
Before you start this might want to set back to OEM state if you been putting other commands in to start off fresh.

Thanks for the info! You mentioned auto-scan, that seems a lot easier than using the specific band commands. The spreadsheet came up with the following commands:

Band 4 = AT+QCFG="band",0,8
Band 5 = AT+QCFG="band",0,10
Band 13 = AT+QCFG="band",0,1000
