Re: High ping
The high ping can be many things.
Would bring your modem on a road trip and test with different towers.
Take good notes

Re: High ping
I checked with them first they say they don't service that address. I find this weird since I basically built home internet off their network. Fyi Only need a friend with an address with service. Have the modem ship to that address and setup auto pay The modem is not locked to address.

Re: Mofi 4500 with a signal amplifier?
Would think about using PoE
Power over ethernet and an enclosure for the MoFI.
Keep your antenna cable very short and cheap. LMR400
Use cat6a or cat7 cable for the data

Re: High ping
This was genius... I just ordered it. They only need the address to verify service, but they were still willing to send it to my address. So I ordered for service at my buddy's house and had it shipped to mine. We'll see if this works any better :-) Do you get a T-Mobile at your location?? What are ...

Re: RG6 cabling verus RG58
The problem with booster are the also Amplify the noise so you’re Signal to noise ratio sucks.
Would be better to put your money in good quality cables and antennas.
It would be helpful if you shared your Signal numbers.

Re: Indoor Antenna Suggestions
Your numbers look pretty good not sure if an attendance going to help.
Your modem is a Cat-7, your phone is most likely a Cat~20+. Not fair to compare the two.
Make sure to use a hard Internet cable connection for your speed test. This would remove WiFi from the equation.

Is there a way to tell what bands your modem is connecting to? Cell mapper is a good staring point but is often outdated information . Most cheaper modems do not have Carrier Aggregation & MiMo which are helpful for better speed. https://www.cashify.in/what-is-carrier-aggregation-how-can-it-increase ...

Re: Indoor Antenna Suggestions
A good test to see if an antenna will help is bring your modem to the cell tower for a speed test. Use a good quality power inverter or better use 12v from a vehicle if you have access to one. This would give you a baseline of what speed is possible with a good signal. Keep an eye on your signal to ...

Re: Mofi 4500, strange yagi antenna results
Well said gscheb! Speed testing eats a lot of data also can change depending on time of day. Also the speed test can connect to a different server each time you run the test.
