Re: Wireguard on ROOter?
I have run in the past rooter, official pre builds of goldenorb and wifix all interchangeably. I do seem to recall there were some instances where I had to do the Full Factory Reset method where my router was put all the way back to its chinese boot and then load up the individual firmwares.

Re: Wilson Antennas
I use the b66 with ca to b66 as my main setup. I have my bands locked to 66 only. What the CAA part does is as follows:
The initial connection to band 66 in my setup is either 20mhz or 10 mhz seems to depend on something on the tower side that I cannot control. The CAA kicks in when the tower deems ...

Re: Wilson Antennas
CA is determined by the tower as to when and if its implemented. The modem has specific combinations thats are allowed for CA. My modem EP06-A allows CA of 66 to 66 so I simply locked my band to 66 only.
Mind you this solution is customized to my setup. Band 66 may not be the best band in your area ...

Re: Wireguard on ROOter?
I would also be intersted but as well interested in a basic changelog of whats been updated since the may 2020 build i am currently running.
Also differences between wifix which i am using and rooter, as rooter has a version dated 8-15-2021. Would personally rather stay with wifix as the support ...

Re: EM12: working with Verizon bands
What they are doing there is locking to specific cell radios on their tower. This allows you to force the radio to use only very specific radios on one tower. This way, if you can figure out your absolute best radios (Info from AT+QENG="servingcell" and "neighborcell") you can use QNWLOCK to force ...

I think the basic rule of thumb is to put it on one edge of the roof and don't aim across your roof. Always aim away from the house.dbshelton wrote: Sat Aug 28, 2021 8:05 pm Not yet. Probably will tomorrow. Not sure where I am going to put it yet. I really don't think the current location is best.

Re: WG3526 and GoldenOrb Settings
I would go back to a full factory reset... where you get the chinese load screen and try to load the firmware clean. If you get the same results I would go back a version and see if the problem still exists.

Re: NEXR5GO Router and EP06-A Modem
I would do a factory reset the put back just the apn and ttl settings, nothng else. That should get you back to working, At that point we can try and tackle the vpn again if you choose.

Re: NEXR5GO Router and EP06-A Modem
Well satellite will ALWAYS have very bad latency its just part of how satellite works.
As far as your setup I think we are at the point of the old adage
"If it aint broke dont fix it"
:)
Congrats you are now to the point you shoudnt have to worry about these things anymore and just use it.

Re: Router Choice
far as i know the "conventional router" would have to be running some form of goldenorb to be able to use the usb/modem card.
I have had my wg3526 running over a year 24/7 and no issues.

Re: Router Recommendation to hide Tethering from AT&T
All of your above research is correct, though we do not talk details about changing imei in here as TECHNICALLY its illegal to be doing that. From my limited knowledge you will need to reseach the exact At command on your own but the quectel modems are the easiest to do this on while the sierra ...

Re: Single or 2 15dbi mimo antennas is there a difference?
ok yeah i think i remember this now from earlier in this thread. Since you already have a 75 ohm booster and its working I would do like I have in my home and have 2 seperate systems.
A booster for phone use (use your 75 ohm booster system)
A router for internet, in my case a wg3526 with an EP06-A ...

going from memory i think i used the router reboot option, may have been modem reset, try modem reset first as it takes less time for the router to recover.

Re: Cable Extension Question
This may sound stupid, but if you need to move the antennas 10 feet farther away from the router is it possible to relocate the router 10 feet closer to the new antenna placement? Maybe put it in an attic? Move the router to an externally closer spot?

I am also on verizon in a very fringe area. No chance for coverage from anyone BUT verizon actually. The deprioritization issue is on the verizon side and I know no way around it other then getting a different plan with more "high speed" data.
