Do you see the modem listed in the Debug screen, towards the bottom of the page?

Re: MOFI 4500 with EM7565 Modem

I'm not sure modem changes are supported in the mofi firmware.

Re: MOFI 4500 with EM7565 Modem

I've never used the mofi firmware, but I'm sure its not much trouble to try it out. Your experience with upgrading the modem will really depend on your specific situation with cell band availability and signal levels. The modem itself is much more capable. Thats an upgrade from category 4 to ...

Re: MOFI 4500 with EM7565 Modem

That is kind of what I thought but wanted to ask around. How does the Golden Orb firmware compare to the Mofi firnware? Also, any idea if there is a substantial gain from moving to the EM7565 over the MC7455 when used in the Mofi box running a different firmware? I have your answer! I also started ...

Do you think this would work with a SIM7 instead of a SIM4?

At least 2.5A but go with 3A if you will be buying one.

Re: MoFi 4500 Wifi Very Slow

Don't know if you can fix it. The WE826-T2 router is famous for bad WiFi results. For years have been using secondary router like you are talking about. With 5ghz router connected to them been able to get about the same as Ethernet connection.

Re: MoFi 4500 Wifi Very Slow

Had the same issue when using a wg3526. Connected a secondary router via ethernet and let it do all the dhcp and wireless requests and like you I saw a big increase overall speeds. Since the secondary router only cost me $40 I honestly never looked back and am still running that config today. The ...

Re: MoFi 4500 Wifi Very Slow

A dedicated wifi AP, like the ubiquiti UAP-AC-LITE-US, only uses max 20W during full load. Might not be as cheap, but the wifi throughput is top notch.

I use dedicated access points for my wifi. WAY simpler, and no dual router NAT to turn off and deal with.
