Re: Modem/Router Swap procedure
Thank you all. I ended up bringing it to an AT&T store and the person there said just swap the sim s as well. I explained adamantly how I did not want my account screwed up and he also changed the imei in the system. He of course did it wrong, and I got home to find none of it worked and had to go ...

Re: Help interpret AT!GSTATUS report
I wouldn't lock into band 2 as you probably won't get any CA, but I might lock out band 4 since it's really bad in your case. Maybe look into a parabolic grid with at least 700-2700mhz support, those have a bit more gain that your flat panels (~26dbi on the high end) and are more directional.

Re: Mobile Citizen Hotspot Sucks (Help me build a better one)
Taking a quick look at the Terms of Service over at Mobile Citizen I see this,
Not that means that a different device might not work out for you. They may not enforce their terms. Just something to consider.
As mobile devices go the Netgear Nighthawk MR1100 mobile hotspot is about as good as ...

Re: LTE Internet Providers listing
I have no idea how these resellers offer these high volume plans and I have a very strong feeling all of them are going to go away sooner than later or jump ship to TMobile.
It's a bit of a mystery. I have a plan for my RV from yet another reseller, https://www.ezmobiledata.com. I ended up with ...

Re: Predicament in the mountains
If that drawing is right and you have a peak above your location to the towers in the plains, your best option is to go with the lowest frequency available. Band 12 is low, Band 71 even lower, but only TMobile uses it. You will be blocked from any of the higher frequency bands by that peak if you're ...

Re: WG3526 and Sierra EM7565 on Cricket simply data.
The LEDs have always been an odd thing. The goldenorb guys on the whirlpool forums have talked about it. The 4G LEDs are dependent on the modem, as it is a gpio output from the modem. the LAN ones should work, but could be that they just need to be activated. Over my head to be honest.

Re: T-mobile home internet - external antennas
I see no way that T-Mobile would know that the device has been opened. There are no seals or springs or booby traps. (At this point I have only taken it apart, not put it back together.)

Re: T-Mobile unlimited home internet.
FWIW, I had canceled my TMO service(it was slow, avg. 3Mbps) after about 40 days(though they charged me for 2 months service), and about a month later, they sent me a $100 Visa card. The last thing they said was that I was welcome to try them again, anytime.

Re: Starlink now available to order
Would you give a review on your Starlink Gateway for what it offers?
Things I've seen so far is the GUI seems to made for troubleshooting by tech support it's filled with stats and such, but nothing you can fiddle with.
The supplied router has a very good Wifi signal, but I ditched it because ...

Re: Rural internet antenna setup HELP!
Just out of curiosity I did some research on a cheap antenna rotator and noticed that some of the less expensive TV antennas have them powered through the CO-AX cable. Something like this; https://www.ebay.com/itm/480-Miles-Outdoor-TV-Antenna-Motorized-Amplified-HDTV-1080P-4K-V-U-360-Rotation ...

Re: Rural internet antenna setup HELP!
When I tune in my antennas take my phone with me on roof. Log into rooter and watch signal strength and quality as I turn it.
If try to run speed test on roof it is junk. But the slightest wifi signal will allow to get into the UI and watch those signal readings.

Re: Orbi LBR20 How-To / Megathread
Would someone that has a Orbi LBR20 do a IMEI check at Cricket https://www.cricketwireless.com/cell-phones/bring-your-phone to see if it is compatible? If not likely AT&T is also going to turn these off come Feb. 2022 as being 3G devices.

Apologies! This LBR20 ...

Re: AT&T shutoff of 3G February 2022 may affect you.
Check your device's compatibility
Yay, your MR1100 is compatible!
I just activated a used att branded MR1100 on a cricket simply data plan to try it out - works ok so far. Before I bought it, I checked a few 1A1NAS, 2A1NAS and 100NAS imeis from ebay photos and cricket said they were compatible.

Re: AT&T shutoff of 3G February 2022 may affect you.
Hello,
This decision by AT&T is just to reduce their support call volume. The redress depends on what legal constructs you have available in your state.
My neighbors and I are in California, and have filed disputes citing SB 822: AT&T (or any other carrier) is not allowed to exclude a device that ...

Re: NEXP1GO and EM7565 Connection Issues
PS State: Not Attached
RRC: Idle
Both basically say the network is blocking you. You might want to request a new SIM and put it in the new router when you get it.
Or you may want to try to match the modems imei to the hotspot, just in case.

Re: Router for RV
Hard to figure what the WiFi as Wan is necessary for.
Most campgrounds provide Wi-Fi. It's usually not great which is why RVers use cellular but if you're lucky enough to be somewhere with adequate Wi-Fi then Wi-Fi as WAN lets you use it transparently if the cellular signal is bad or you just ...
