Re: Putting MH4 pigtails on the Quectel EM20-G M.2 modem
I've never had that particular modem but I use a pair of magnifying glasses and a lot of patience. I never find it easy though. It is extremely frustrating. There ought to be a device invented that will do the job. Or the process simplified by the manufacturers by using larger connectors.

Re: Putting MH4 pigtails on the Quectel EM20-G M.2 modem
The tools may help, but experience and patience will win out. Tools can make the user over confident and break things. Id rather be comfortable and experience with the operation, then introduce the tool to make the operation easier and smoother. Its not always a great idea to teach a procedure with ...

Re: Is there an AT command that will make the Quectel EM20 G carrier aggregate with 3 bands?
I used the AT command to group bands 4 13 and 66 however the modem will only aggregate to 2 of the bands either 66 and 13 or 4 and 13 but not all 3
Hello,
Modems only do certain combinations of bands. The combination you are trying to get don't see it listed on The Wireless Haven website.

Re: Intermittent carrier aggregation
Typicaly carrier aggregation only comes on under load. Not there All the time.
If you run a speed test and it come on during downlaod it is working. EP06 does not do upload CA

Re: Putting MH4 pigtails on the Quectel EM20-G M.2 modem
They definitely take A LOT of patience. It sometimes takes me a good 15-20 minutes to get them on. Other times they go on very quickly. Kind of a luck of the draw getting them on but I do have a small magnifying glass which helps to at least get them lined up before applying pressure. Always afraid ...

Quectel - Programming Carrier Bands and Groups of Bands
I prepared an Excel spreadsheet to assist in programming bands and/or a group of bands, on the Quectel modems.
As with all material on this forum, use at your own risk.
I have plans on including other Quectel modems when time permits, as well as a quick tutorial for commonly used AT Commands for ...

Re: Carrier Aggregation on the Quectel EM20G
I don't believe there is such a command. If you find it let us know. You can just lock 13 out so it doesnt use it at all. See which way you like better.

Re: EM20 Antenna Connection and commands?
It is a cat16 modem.
Dunno. Maybe? Its a great modem, I'm guessing they set its price point low and still didnt have mass commercial orders. The EM160 isnt much cheaper.

Re: EM20 Antenna Connection and commands?
You'll want to use M and D/G, though the em20 is meant for 4 antennas, it should work.
There is no command to see each antennas signal strength. The command does exist (AT+QRSRP I think) but the EM20G does not support it, and Quectel has placed the device in development limbo for now. The Quectel ...

Re: Losing constant Internet connection on Mofi 4500 (and my mind)
When I log in to the Mofi control panel once things have gone down, and try to do the "Internet connection test" from the main screen it does indeed fail. However, when I go to System>>Diagnostics, and do things like run a ping test to openwrt.org or do a traceroute, they work and return live ...

Re: NetGear NightHawk M1 Inside Antenna Ports
I know that this thread is a bit old, but I’ve done some simple tests using the internal antenna connectors.
I wasn’t happy with the drilling holes in the front strategy, so I modified the board a bit and soldered on a couple of U.FL connectors alongside the proprietary antenna connectors. Don’t ...

Re: PSA - ATT iPad Plan Users who got kicked or need replacement.
Did you notice any Video throttling by chance?
I honestly can't say for sure, since AT&T removed their hardware from my primary tower, I've gone from getting 70-90mbps to 5-15mbps. So buffering does happen. That being said, when speeds are decent, amazon prime streams fine in 1080. I don't use ...

PSA - ATT iPad Plan Users who got kicked or need replacement.
The $20 Postpaid plan IS available, you DO NOT need a phone account. The reps in the stores won't be able to see it on their plan list, they have to SEARCH BY PLAN USING IMEI. If they do that and you give them a tablet that can use their network, it'll show up, $20 tablet only plan. I'm using it ...
