Any plan will work with the LBR20 assuming you configure it to be compatible. Read between the lines in my "Sending AT Commands to the Modem" section and check for spelling typos. That's all I will say here. Feel free to DM (hazarjast at proton mail dot com) if you need clarification.

Hi all, first time writing into this forum. I am thinking of getting an LBR20 because it looks like a great way to get a CAT 18 modem for the price. So with the updated ttl_mod script do we just make that script and comment out the TTL mod section of the script in fw_rules or do they both need to run? My Verizon tablet plan continues to use hotspot data and Circle keeps turning itself off so I'm trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong ...

Re: Orbi LBR20 - Strange behavior (Speed)
What you describe is standard deprioritization. This will be worst during the most congested periods of the day. Try testing at 3AM vs. 8PM or at the very start of your next billing cycle vs. midway through a month. All other things being constant (band/tower/signal strength), this will confirm it.

I found the price of the LBR20 quite competitive for the modem inside it of along with the basic functions it accomplishes (LAN Port, basic routing, etc.) Is there a much cheaper option I'm missing? Getting a CAT16 modem appears to run 225 by itself, and the LBR20 was only 300.

There is no bridge mode, for all practical purposes, on the LBR20.

Yes, if you want to try the failsafe script just create it in the ‘scripts’ overlay folder (/mnt/circle/overlay/opt/scripts/), make it executable (chmod +x) and call the actual file (/opt/scripts/script_name) from rc.local to run on startup.
