I'm not sure what you mean by signal booster when talking about the various Sierra modems? I assume you mean for cell service? If so, you can just use wifi calling, once you get a better 4G setup for your internet.
If you are going to use AT&T I'd recommend spending the extra 50 bucks and getting ...

Re: Looking for the best setup for my rural area
Maybe they meant a 100x increase in signal strength? That would be 20dbm, which I think could be possible.
Like I said before, forget the signal booster and just setup a connection for your internet, and use wifi calling.
The problem with high gain antennas is they are very directional. If you don ...

Re: WE826 VS M2M NEXG H721 VS USB enclosure
If you are really serious about your network, then I would highly recommend running separate dedicated access point(s) and a dedicated router/4G modem.
All modern 802.11 wifi standards have MIMO, and the latest use beamforming. Beamforming is dependent upon the client as well, and most don't ...

Re: WE826 VS M2M NEXG H721 VS USB enclosure
Swwifty my friend, you are more helpful than you know and your build has helped quite a bit with other questions I might have had. Your testing with the panel antennas was also quite enlightening. I'm assuming my best bet is to just test with the antennas I get and see what bands I pick up with ...

Re: WE826 VS M2M NEXG H721 VS USB enclosure
So I've got my cart filled to the brim with everything I need for atleast a fairly solid setup. I'm currently torn on routers. I've decided on the EM7576 Modem from Sierra, but am torn on how to implement it in the system. We do a lot of streaming and gaming, and have quite a few smart devices and ...

Re: M2M Router following build guide - Wifi cards are flipped?
I also saw the same issues.
I ended up building the M2M in pieces.
First I installed the Compex card. Booted the M2M and configured it.
Shut down the system
Installed the atheros card for 2.4.. Booted and configured that
Shut Down the system
Install the EM7565. Booted and configured that.

Re: M2M Router - Wifi Cards flipped/Slow speeds (.5mb/s)/no ipv6
Your problem is the AUX connector port (RXD) on the EM7565. This is most likely due to the MHF4 pigtail connector has popped off, or is connected to the GPS port as opposed to the AUX.Sexyjesus wrote: Fri Nov 22, 2019 1:51 pm at!gstatus?

Re: M2M Router - Wifi Cards flipped/Slow speeds (.5mb/s)/no ipv6
Replied to your PM Nick and added some pics that may (or may not, lol) give you some insight to towers around you.
As I stated there, hard to believe AT&T has as many towers as opensignal showing. Could be wrong, but that sure is heavy concentration. Wondering if you roaming? Think most towers ...

You are off to a good start.
Band 2 signal stats show it to be practically unusable.
Quality signals are a necessity when using cellular service as a source for internet.

Sierra Wireless Modems - Programming Carrier Bands
An Excel interactive spreadsheet was created to assist users in creating a band and/or group of bands for various versions of the Sierra Wireless modems as well as the Netgear MR1100. Hopefully, the Quectel modems will be included in the future editions.

Re: M2M NEXG suddenly not connecting to B2
The weather can certainly impact signals.
Thus, it is possible to be completely tower related.

Re: M2M NEXG suddenly not connecting to B2
With no other changes, I agree its likely a change on your tower (weather or some other damage likely). You can call in a trouble ticket for it and have your tower checked. Ive never done it myself, but Ive heward of people getting things checked out that way.
